Terms of service
Last updated October 29, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Lyrevox (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Lyrevox you agree to them, to the acceptable use policy and to the privacy policy.
The service
Lyrevox is a Voicebox-compatible cloud studio. Each account gets its own GPU and storage volume in the cloud, and a studio you use in your browser or in the Lyrevox desktop app. The studio is built on Voicebox, open-source software released under the MIT License by Jamie Pine and contributors. Lyrevox is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Voicebox project.
Your account
You need to be at least 18 years old to use Lyrevox. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, so keep access to that inbox secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including on desktop apps you approve.
Who sells the plan, and payments
We sell Lyrevox through Link, Stripe’s payment service, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase: Link processes your payment and calculates and collects sales tax, VAT or GST in the 80+ countries Stripe Managed Payments covers. Your card statement shows LINK.COM* LYREVOX. Receipts, invoices and billing emails come from Link, and you can take billing questions (payments, receipts, refunds, cancelling) to Link support as well as to us. Questions about the studio itself come to us.
Plan, hours and billing
- The plan costs $9 per month, plus applicable tax, billed in advance through Link, and renews monthly until you cancel. Prices we show are before tax; the checkout adds the tax that applies where you are and may charge you in your local currency.
- It includes 10 GPU-hours per billing period. Hours count while your GPU is switched on, from the moment it starts until it stops, including the up to 5 minutes of inactivity before it switches itself off. Unused hours don’t carry over.
- Extra hours are off by default. While they are off, your studio won’t start once the included hours are used. If you switch them on, GPU time beyond the included hours costs $1 per GPU-hour plus applicable tax, measured per session in whole minutes rounded up, and is charged on your next invoice.
- For safety, an account can use at most 8 GPU-hours in a single day. Reaching this limit pauses the studio and we email you.
- If a payment fails, we suspend the studio until the balance is paid.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time, from the billing page or through Link, and your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for; extra hours used in that period are charged on its final invoice. After it ends we keep your studio for 14 days, during which you can subscribe again and carry on where you left off; then the account is deleted as described below. Refunds may be issued where the law requires them (for example, a statutory cooling-off period) or by our payment provider.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email; the change applies from your next billing period.
Voices and consent
Only clone voices you have the right to use: your own voice, the voice of someone who has given you explicit permission, or material that is licensed or in the public domain for this purpose. We cannot check who a voice belongs to, so this responsibility is yours. Using someone’s voice without their permission breaks these terms and may be against the law.
Your content
You own the voice samples, scripts and audio you create or upload (“your content”). You give us permission to store and process your content only as needed to run the service for you. We do not use your content to train models, and we don’t look at it except when you ask us to, when we need to investigate a report of abuse, or when the law requires it.
Watermark
Audio generated with the Chatterbox and Chatterbox Turbo engines carries Resemble AI’s Perth watermark: an inaudible signal that lets the audio be identified as AI-generated. Lyrevox keeps this watermark switched on. Audio from Qwen3-TTS and Kokoro is not watermarked.
You agree not to remove, alter or defeat this watermark.
Availability
Your GPU runs on a third-party cloud provider and starts on demand, which usually takes about a minute. We work to keep Lyrevox available, but we don’t guarantee uptime, and a GPU may occasionally be unavailable when the provider has no capacity. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Ending your account
You can delete your account from your dashboard. Deleting it shuts down your studio at once, stops your plan from renewing (the period you have paid for runs out, and its final invoice charges any extra hours you used), and permanently deletes your storage volume and everything on it 14 days later. Export anything you want to keep first. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the acceptable use policy, and will tell you why unless the law or an investigation prevents it.
Open-source software
The studio includes open-source software and models under their own licences, listed on the credits page. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences.
Disclaimers and liability
Lyrevox is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect.
